Nysernet has partnered with UAMS e-Link, one of the nation’s largest telemedicine consortia, to help members more easily access the federal Rural Health Care Program (RHC) and reduce the cost of connectivity services.
Through this partnership, Nysernet members can pursue up to 65 percent reimbursement on eligible broadband and network expenses while receiving guidance throughout the application process.
For many organizations, the opportunity is significant. But navigating RHC funding independently can be complex, time-consuming, and resource-intensive.
This partnership is designed to change that.
A Simpler, Supported Path to Funding
UAMS e-Link provides consortium-based support to help organizations:
- Navigate eligibility requirements
- Complete required documentation
- Meet program deadlines
- Strengthen funding applications
By connecting members to e-Link, Nysernet helps streamline the process and reduce administrative burden, making it easier to pursue funding without diverting internal resources.
Expanding Access for Nysernet Members
Eligibility for the RHC program extends beyond traditional healthcare providers. Many higher education institutions—including those with healthcare instruction, research programs, or community partnerships—may qualify.
However, awareness remains a barrier.
“Many organizations assume they don’t qualify,” said Anna Walsh, chief membership officer at Nysernet. “In reality, eligibility is broader than the name implies. Our goal is to help members understand what’s possible, claim their reimbursement and feel supported every step of the way.”
Supporting Member Success
This initiative reflects Nysernet’s broader commitment to helping members maximize the value of their technology investments.
As a not-for-profit organization serving those who serve others, Nysernet focuses on delivering not just connectivity—but the expertise, partnerships, and community support that help members succeed.
Nysernet means never alone.
