Syracuse, NY — November 5, 2025 — NYSERNet, a leader in advancing research and education through technology, proudly announces the appointment of Todd Glanton as Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this role, Glanton will provide strategic leadership and oversight of NYSERNet’s technology ecosystem—including networks, data centers, information systems, and research computing—advancing the organization’s mission to empower New York’s research and education communities through secure, reliable, and innovative digital infrastructure.
With over 15 years of experience in information technology leadership, Glanton brings deep expertise in infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity, and analytics. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Technology and Analytics at Monroe Plan for Medical Care, where he led enterprise-wide IT strategy and digital transformation initiatives that enhanced data-driven decision-making, strengthened cybersecurity frameworks, and improved operational efficiency across healthcare systems serving underserved populations throughout New York State.

As CIO, Glanton will oversee NYSERNet’s network operations and information technology teams, ensuring the organization’s infrastructure continues to meet the evolving needs of members while advancing operational excellence, resilience, and collaboration.

Glanton holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Information Management Systems from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Society for Information Management (SIM) and recently completed his CIO certification through CXO Connect and CISSP certification through ISC².
