NYSERNet Names Chief Membership Officer

Role to focus on engagement, retention and growth of organization’s membership.

Syracuse, N.Y., Oct. 31, 2024—NYSERNet has named Anna Walsh as its chief membership officer. She is an accomplished professional with vast experience in customer success, sales, marketing, leadership and driving strategic development. In addition, she has an extensive background in Software as a Service (SaaS), social media management, marketing and communications.

Walsh will be responsible for NYSERNet’s membership strategies related to growth, retention and engagement; identifying member needs in support of product and service development, executing professional and educational services for member institutions, leading expansion into new markets, and communicating with the organization’s board on topics related to membership interaction and current needs.

Walsh has a bachelor’s degree in social work from West Chester University and a master’s degree in organizational development and leadership from St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia. Her career experience includes director of customer success and implementation at ParentSquare; chief customer officer of Dakota; head of account management/partner program manager at Profound Technologies; and team of lead sales, customer success and marketing development at Energage, as well as other leadership positions in the sales, marketing and communication fields.
