Five of NYSERNet’s member institutions received awards from the National Science Foundation Campus Cyberinfrastructure program. Vassar College, Siena College and the American Museum of Natural History each won an award for its proposal. Syracuse University received two awards, and Cornell University received awards for three proposals.
The NSF Campus Cyberinfrastructure program supports campus-level networking improvements and engineering for science and research applications. The awards are supported in different program areas, including data-driven networking infrastructure, regional connectivity, campus computing, and cyber team-research and education. An institution’s proposal must be designed to implement cyberinfrastructure best practices campus-wide.
Congratulations to our members for their commitment to improving their systems by making innovation and integration a top priority!
