Hunter College researchers develop new nanotechnology

A team of Hunter College scientists have joined with a University of California professor to study the ability of living biology to connect to electronics. The researchers have created technology that closely mimics the chemical signals and electrical impulses found in the bodies of living creatures, allowing them to react in a dynamic way to changes within the body. Though their findings are in the beginning stages of development, they have potential to bring big changes to the medical field by treating diseases in which the body’s biology has gone awry.

The scientists exchanged data using NYSERNet’s R&E network.
