Brown dwarfs are star-like, with more mass than planets

A citizen scientist, backed by researchers from the American Museum of Natural History, a NYSERNet member, has discovered 34 “ultra-cool” dwarfs, also known as brown dwarfs, moving through space and co-evolving with higher-mass companions. Brown dwarfs are star-like, with more mass than planets but less mass than stars, which makes them much harder to spot. Learn more here: https://bit.ly/3nLReHh @nysernet @AMNH #nysernet #AMNH
