UBuffalo Researchers Pave Way for Self-Powered Electronics

In a collaborate study led by University at Buffalo and Institute of Semiconductors (IoP) at Chinese Academy of Science (CAS), researchers are working to develop a triboelectric nanogenerator – a device that receives electricity from a small metallic tab that when attached to the body, can generate electricity from actions such as moving a finger or other simple movements. Co-authors of this study include Huamin Chen at IoP and CAS, and Nan Zhang, a PhD student at UBuffalo.
