Quanta Magazine Launches New Podcast, ‘The Joy of x’

Quanta Magazine is expanding its illumination of fundamental math and science with a new podcast titled “The Joy of x.” Hosted by mathematician Steven Strogatz, the new series features intimate conversations with scientists about their work, discoveries, frustrations and journeys. Steven Strogatz is the Jacob Gould Schurman Professor of Applied Mathematics at  Cornell University. Cornell is connected to  NYSERNet’s R&E Network. The first season of “The Joy of x” will comprise 12 weekly episodes, each running between 40 and 75 minutes and focusing on the thoughts and personal backstories of one or two scientists.
