A team led by NYU researchers have released a study that could lead to new ways to grow crops that would benefit both people and the environment. The scientists’ focus on how plants interact with nitrogen fertilizer on a genetic level has resulted in a better understanding of how they intake nitrogen and convert it into other compounds.
