Columbia scientists develop technique to improve electronics - NYSERNet

In an international collaboration led by Columbia scientists, a new technique was developed that will change the way electronic devices are built. Their findings show that graphene, which is considered to be the best conductor of electricity on Earth, can be used in electronics without sacrificing quality. Prior to the Columbia study, graphene couldn’t be a material in electronic devices without damaging the graphene and making it less effective. While the study wasn’t able to completely solve the problem, their findings will form the basis for future research.

Columbia University uses NYSERNet’s R&E network to exchange data with collaborators.
