A professor from Columbia University and her team have created an interactive, open-source map to study the physical destruction in the city of Aleppo due to urban warfare. The map combines layers of high-resolution satellite images with data gathered by human rights organizations and the United Nations. NYSERNet’s R&E network allows these institutions to collaborate on this project.
